Refund Policy
Effective September 23, 2026
This Refund Policy explains when refunds are and are not available for services provided by SGC Marketing, LLC (“SGC Marketing,” “we,” “us”). It forms part of our Terms of Service. Where a signed statement of work (“SOW”) sets different refund terms, the SOW controls.
The short version. We refund work we have not yet performed. We do not refund work already delivered, time already spent, or money already paid out to third parties on your behalf — including advertising spend.
1. Services already performed
Fees for services already performed are non-refundable. Marketing services consume time and expertise as they are delivered, and that work cannot be returned. This includes strategy, research, audits, campaign setup and management, design, development, content production, and reporting that has been completed or is substantially complete.
2. Prepaid and retainer fees
If you prepay for a period of service and terminate mid-period in accordance with the Terms of Service:
- We calculate the value of work performed and costs committed through the effective termination date.
- Any unused balance remaining after that calculation is refunded to you within 30 days.
- If the work performed exceeds the amount prepaid, the difference is invoiced and payable on the terms in your SOW.
Retainers described in an SOW as non-refundable, or paid to reserve capacity, are not refundable except as stated in Section 5.
3. Advertising spend and third-party costs
Money paid to advertising platforms, software vendors, stock libraries, hosting providers, or other third parties is not refundable by us. Once spend is delivered by a platform, it is gone, and we cannot recover it.
- Unspent advertising budget that we hold and have not yet committed to a platform will be refunded or credited at your election.
- Refunds or credits from a third-party platform itself — for example, a platform issuing a credit for invalid traffic — are passed through to you if and when we receive them.
- Management fees earned on spend already delivered are not refundable.
4. Project-based work and deposits
For fixed-scope projects billed in milestones:
- The initial deposit secures your place in our schedule and covers discovery and planning. It is non-refundable once work has commenced.
- If you cancel before work commences, the deposit is refundable less any costs already incurred.
- Milestones that have been delivered and accepted are non-refundable.
- If you cancel mid-milestone, we refund the portion of that milestone's fee attributable to work not yet performed.
5. If we fail to deliver
If we materially fail to deliver services described in your SOW, and we do not cure that failure within the period stated in the Terms of Service after your written notice, you are entitled to a refund of fees paid for the undelivered services. This is your primary remedy for non-delivery, subject to the limitation of liability in the Terms of Service.
6. Results are not grounds for refund
As stated in our Terms of Service, we do not guarantee specific results. Dissatisfaction with rankings, traffic, leads, conversions, or revenue is not grounds for a refund where the services described in the SOW were performed as agreed. If you are not seeing the results you expected, contact us — we would rather adjust the strategy than lose the relationship.
7. How to request a refund
Send a written request to info@sgc-marketing.com including your company name, the invoice or SOW in question, the amount requested, and the reason. We will respond within 10 business days. Requests must be submitted within 60 days of the charge.
8. How refunds are issued
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible.
- Refunds are processed within 30 days of approval. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit.
- Payment method fees are not refunded. The 1% ACH fee and 3% credit card surcharge described in our Payment & ACH Policy are costs of processing that transaction and are not returned as part of a refund.
- Refunds are net of any amounts you owe us on other invoices.
9. Chargebacks
Please raise billing concerns with us before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer. Most issues are resolved quickly and directly. Initiating a chargeback for services delivered in accordance with your SOW, without first attempting resolution with us, may result in suspension of services and recovery of the disputed amount plus associated fees.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy by posting a revised version with a new effective date. The version in effect when you paid governs that payment.
